Photography is imperative to journalism as it is the first thing people see when they look at a page or open a website. I have worked with my photo team in covering lots of different school events and written many captions. Captioning photos is also crucial because it explains the story the photo is telling. I am no expert when it comes to photography, in fact, I refused to touch a camera until my junior year. However, I have worked hard to gain experience so I can step up when a photo is needed for a story.
