To be an effective student press, marketing our website and publication well is the only way students will look at it. During my time as web EIC, I frequently posted web articles to the social media pages with an article summary and posted Instagram stories with links to the web to get more clicks. In today’s society, social media is the way teens get the majority of their news and information. This year we have started using Instagram reel trends to convey important messages to the student body. This allows for student thoughts to be heard and attention to be captured.
